BC RESTAURANT ASSOCIATION PARTNERS WITH BC BASED FOOD DELIVERY BUSINESSES IN ADDITIONAL EFFORT TO
SUPPORT THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY
(January 20, 2021 – Vancouver, BC) The British Columbia Restaurant and Foodservices Association (BCRFA) is pleased to announce the addition of two new industry partners as it relates to the third party food delivery space. These partnerships were developed to serve our BCRFA members and the restaurant industry. The BCRFA welcomes Moduurn and Tutti.
Both companies are founded in British Columbia companies and are based in Victoria, as well as offer premium customer service and serve the needs of our industry.
Ian Tostenson President/CEO comments, “The BCRFA has been looking for a long-term made in BC solution to the very important and costly issue of food delivery. Throughout North America and in BC, delivery commission rates from companies such as Skip the Dishes, Uber Eats and DoorDash approach 30%, effectively negating any profit. The BC Government recently brought in regulation to cap these fees to 15% temporarily. This is very appreciated but once the cap is off, fees from these companies will escalate again to the detriment of our industry.
The pandemic has caused a shift in take-out and delivery sales. Prior to the pandemic, take-out and delivery accounted for 20% of overall sales. Today, it is approaching 45-50% of restaurant sales. This trend is here to stay and helping our industry reduce cost while maintaining a high level of service is a priority for us. Both Tutti and Moduurn will provide this and more.”
MODUURN is offering reduced set-up and subscription rates for BCRFA members, as well as introductory offer for non-members. Are you renting your customer, or do you own your customer? Moduurn provides a fully branded Mobile Ordering solution in both Web APP and Native APP formats for businesses of all sizes. Alex Cook from Moduurn comments “Not all on-line ordering solutions are created equal. As a results-based company our objective from the very beginning is to help restaurants become more profitable – period. We all know that COVID has changed how we look at on-line ordering. We are here to help. Our in-house marketing team works closely with each business to build traction to their new on-line ordering platform – then we monitor your success to ensure you are getting positive results.”
TUTTI is currently available in Victoria, Kelowna, Nanaimo, and Kamloops. Tutti’s commission cost ranges from 10% – 15% depending on the partnership level, and there are no start-up or monthly fees. Their main service differentiators are a flexible and easy to use merchant app, excellent customer service, and professional, reliable drivers. To learn more visit: www.tutti.app/
Adam Mclaughlin from Tutti comments “Tutti is proud to offer restaurants an inexpensive and reliable way to get their food delivered throughout the community. We worked closely with local restaurants to develop an easy to use merchant interface, and have developed our service over the past three years to be reliable, supportive, and flexible. We hope to be operational in 10 cities across BC within the next three months.”
