Toronto Fashion Week® x RE\SET™ returns bigger than ever from Feb. 5-7 for Fall/Winter 2019

TORONTO, ON – Returning for a highly anticipated fourth season, Toronto Fashion Week® – Canada’s leading event celebrating fashion, art and culture – today revealed its official dates, along with a teaser of confirmed designers and programming for the Fall/Winter 2019 season. The three-day affair takes place Feb. 5 – 7, 2019 and is the second largest Fashion Week in North America.

Fashion and culture enthusiasts can expect a more dynamic experience with this season. After two successful seasons working with RE\SET™, the two fashion powerhouses will work even closer together to co-produce Toronto Fashion Week® x RE\SET™, growing the event further with more partnerships, programs and by taking shows across the prestigious Yorkville neighbourhood.

As the premier fashion event in Canada, we are dedicated to offering emerging Canadian talent, including models and designers, the opportunity to showcase their work and gain exposure alongside internationally recognized designers,” said Greg Menzies, Executive Vice President & Project Lead, Yorkville Village – First Capital Realty Inc. “Knowing this event is more than just a fashion show, our continued partnership with RE\SET™ allows us to focus on immersing guests in more dynamic, elevated experiences centred around fashion, food, culture and art throughout the growing Yorkville neighbourhood. Canada is a hotbed of culture and this is an opportunity to share it with the world.”

For the main event, Toronto Fashion Week® x RE\SET™ continues to shine a spotlight on the nation’s top fashion talent. Crowd favourites including Hilary MacMillan, Mani Jassal, Narces, ZOFF, Christopher Bates and Mikhael Kale are confirmed to return to the roster, joined by up-and-coming and internationally renowned designers, including Lesley Hampton, Wuxly and Zoran Dobric. This season will also bring back industry experts, studio shows and special presentations along with exclusive programming and collaborations with notable Yorkville institutions, including local restaurants, bars and top retail destinations.

The event’s epicentre, located in The Lane at Yorkville Village (136 Yorkville Ave.), will be an homage to the best of Canadian fashion, featuring the Toronto Fashion Week® x RE\SET™ Designer Showroom – an engaging marketplace where one can shop directly from a mix of Canadian designers. Additionally, collection displays from emerging talent will be highlighted throughout the fashion environment for guests to admire.

“Our agency is proud to be co-producing Toronto Fashion Week x RE\SET in 2019 and will aim to create robust programming for the designers participating as well as develop consumer and industry-focused initiatives allowing attendees to experience fashion in various formats,” stated Mel Ashcroft, Co-founder of THE COLLECTIONS™ and RE\SET™. “For the February 2019 event, we will continue to attract leading Canadian talent and activate venues within the Yorkville community for the designers to showcase their collections here at home.”
