New players complete team roster for the 15th annual JUNO Cup Presented by CBC Sports
TORONTO – The latest players confirmed to participate in JUNO Cup Presented by CBC Sports have been announced; taking home ice advantage are former notable Vancouver Canuck legends BJ MacDonald, Kyle Wellwood and Paul Reinhart.Challenging the 13-time winning NHL team for the “cup” are the rock-greats including Aaron Pritchett, Chuck Keeping (Big Wreck), Darryl James (The Strumbellas), and Shawn Hook. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. PT on Friday, March 23 at Bill Copeland Sports Centre in Burnaby, BC.
Taking place during JUNO Week, this annual celebrity hockey game has raised over $840,000 for MusiCounts. The charity associated with CARAS puts instruments in the hands of kids who need them most and supports music education initiatives across Canada.
Joining the NHL legends are:
BJ MacDonald (Edmonton Oilers, Vancouver Canucks), Danielle Dube (Canadian National Women’s Hockey team), Gary Nylund (Toronto Maple Leafs, Chicago Blackhawks, New York Islanders), Kyle Wellwood (Toronto Maple Leafs, Vancouver Canucks, San Jose Sharks, Winnipeg Jets), and Paul Reinhart(Atlanta Flames, Calgary Flames, Vancouver Canucks).
Players previously announced include: Brad Dalgarno, Cliff Ronning, Dave Babych, Kirk McLean and Troy Crowder.

Aaron Pritchett, Adrian Sutherland (Midnight Shine), Barney Bentall, Bobby Martin (James Barker Band), Chuck Keeping (Big Wreck), Cosmo Ferraro (Ferraro), Darryl James (The Strumbellas), Dean Back (Theory), Doug Elliott (Odds), Dustin Bentall, James Barker(James Barker Band), Jay Bodner (Indian City), JJ Shiplett, Kendel Carson, Matt Sobb (MonkeyJunk), Michael Hollett, Nancy Mike (The Jerry Cans), Sam Polley,Shawn Hook, and Victor Micallef (The Tenors).
Players previously announced include: Chad Brownlee, Craig Northey (Odds), Dallas Smith, Devin Cuddy, Grant Lawrence (The Smugglers, CBC Music) and Jim Cuddy (Blue Rodeo).
Individual tickets to JUNO Cup are priced at $20 (plus fees). Tickets are available online through Ticketmaster.ca. $15 tickets (plus fees) are available when purchasing 10 or more, with all proceeds benefiting MusiCounts.
