Get to know your farmer
Local group of farmers holding “Slow food” event

The “Know Your Farmer, Explore the BX” 2nd annual BX Farm Tour is set to take place on September 17 and 18, 2022 with 7 local BX Farms to visit.

This event allows our local community of Vernon to connect with local food, to better know your farmers and how they are farming, and to explore all the BX has to offer.

This is a FREE to attend, family oriented and is intended to be an agri-tourism and slow food promotion for our BX Valley and the movement in general.

What farms are a part of the tour?

Curlew Orchard, Indigo Valley Farm, Elderberry Boost Farm, Tiny Terrace Farm, Vanzeal Acres, Wildwood Acres, Brookside Orchards and Bee-Yotch Honey.

Why the BX?

The BX is a rich agricultural region with lots of walking and hiking trails and is the perfect place to get out and explore your own backyard.

What’s new this year?

Last year there were specific hours for all of our farm stands plus a virtual tour. This year each farm has different options from open farm-stands where you can stock up on farm fresh produce, self guided and/or organized tours and on-farm events! Check out the map and each farm’s unique event details on the website to decide whether you want to take an hour or a few hours to explore the BX.
