What’s Up? The Local Music Scene EP #3 Featuring Dying Breed

Brad Krauza – Publisher

As a fulltime musician for the past 35 years myself (yikes, that’s a long time!), I’ve come to appreciate the fact that I am able to perform and sing for people and in return, enjoy it as much as I do. There is something to be said for that exchange of energy and good vibes that live music brings to all, from the stage to the seats, there is nothing like it and I so look forward to feeling that again when we are out of this crazy mess we are in. Music is needed desperately in everyone’s lives.

The goal here from these episodes on Gonzo Okanagan & K96.3 Kelowna’s Classic Rock is to reach out and bring some awareness and light into the local Central Okanagan Music Scene by featuring their new music, events and in general, some light into the changes we’ve all had to adjust to in 2020. We all feel the strain in every aspect of these changes and are going to try to do our best to fill our cups up with some fantastic local music while many so of us hang on through this bumpy ride we are on. 😉

Making an effort to change our own thoughts and habits, can strike a chord mentally and change us along with our communities lives. Be safe and…let’s ROCK N ROLL!

I love my job especially when I get introduced to new local, kickass music such as these guys. I had not heard of the band before to be honest (and a bit embarrassed that I hadn’t heard of them because they sound so frikin good!) but, I am now a big fan! Guitarist, Dacoda had sent me their Spotify link where I played “Drive Slow” and I immediately sent him a message asking him, “Who the hell are you guys and where the frik did you come from? Holy sheet! Great tunes, man!” (I believe my words were slightly different. lol).

Check out their music below from Spotify and make a note for their new single coming out for this Halloween!

Okanagan based band…DYING BREED

Short bio – Dying Breed is not just a band. We are a family, a community and a stage for any voice of someone who hast felt alone or different. We praise the different, the rejects, the sore thumbs, the out casts. We as a family not only make music but we stand up for our community and the people in it.
