Peak Pride is back and the event line up is stacked!

The Event Lineup is STACKED. The rules are relaxed. Peak Pride is back! After a nearly two-year-long hiatus, Peak Pride is once again ready to take over the Okanagan’s best ski resorts. The fun begins this weekend at Big White Ski Resort and continues next weekend at SilverStar Mountain Resort. The Big White weekend events kick off this Friday afternoon at Snowshoe Sam’s with Apres. Following later that evening will be QUSIC at the Globe. Featuring live music from Vancouver-based artists Matthew Presidente and Toddy, it’s sure to be a hit.
Saturday will be our main day of events, beginning with a mid-afternoon Pride Parade. Participants will need a lift ticket to join at the top of the mountains, or can join for free once the parade descends near the firehall. The day finishes with everyone’s favorite drag show and party, wipeOUT, featuring performances from Toddy, Ella Lamoureux, and Sparkle!
“Like everyone in the event industry, we are ecstatic to finally host full scale events again. We have very successfully hosted two Peak Prides this month at Mt Washington (Comox) and RED Mountain (Rossland) with multiple sold out events at each mountain and are excited to bring some colour to our home valley,” shares Dustyn Baulkham, Executive Producer of Peak Pride and CEO of Rebellious Unicorns. “Peak Pride is for all people! While some events are 19+, allies of the 2SLGBTQ+ community are warmly welcomed to attend any and all of our events.”Don’t forget the following weekend Peak Pride takes over SilverStar, where we’ve managed to pack even more events into one weekend. Events on the docket include Drag Bingo, Drag Brunch, Pride Parade, wipeOUT, and QUSIC. Coupled with SilverStar’s closing weekend events, the mountain will be electric. This is one you won’t want to miss.
“We can’t wait to see everyone at one or all of the events. These events are not just for the 2SLGBTQ+ community, we warmly welcome all allies to join in on the celebrations,” Baulkham adds.More details and tickets to both events can be purchased on the peakpride.lgbt website Venue capacity is limited, so be sure to reserve your spot now!
Peak Pride’s official airline is Air Canada and is supported by the Canadian Experiences Fund.
All events are following Provincial Health Orders and will be updated pending any changes delivered from the province.
About Peak Pride
Peak Pride is the world’s largest and freshest collection of winter pride events, conceived and produced by Rebellious Unicorns. Peak Pride was born at Big White Ski Resort in 2017.
Peak Pride has grown to include five magnificent ski resorts in the BC Southern Interior: Big White, Sun Peaks (returning 2023), Silver Star, RED Mountain, and new this year, Mt. Washington. Featuring a series of stellar events over the course of an amazing weekend, Peak Pride has something for almost everyone. From family-friendly day activities to high energy nightlife featuring top-tier local talent, Peak Pride brings our community together like never before. Peak Pride focuses on showcasing local talent, building community, and making life-long friendships. We LOVE to celebrate, but Peak Pride is not a ski resort circuit party.
