Kelowna family-favourites The Oot n’ Oots have just released a brand new video & single in preparation for their upcoming album Electric Jellyfish Boogaloo. The single is a fun piece about a common household problem – those painful moments when all you have is a broom, and no dustpan.

The tune is catchy and somewhat reminiscent of The Grateful Dead. A relaxed but driving beat cradles Ari Cipe’s lead vocals. The Oot n’ Oots are a family-friendly family band, made up of Cipes brothers Ari, Gabe Matthew, Ezra and daughter/niece Ruth.

The video is a heroic tale of a young broom that is in need of it’s partner in crime; the dustpan. Dodging through coordinated dance moves and messy baking accidents, our hero makes their way outside and faces off with its nemesis and natural enemy – a common yard rake. There are some tense moments, but you’ll only find out what happens next if you watch the video…

The Oot n’ Oots will be releasing their new album Electric Jellyfish Boogaloo at Milkcrate Records on May 25th at 7pm. You can preorder the album at their online store, which could include an official Electric Jellyfish Boogaloo colouring book for only $25!
