DKA Winter Street Market & Light Up

DKA Winter Street Market & Light Up

The Downtown Kelowna Association (DKA) is kicking off the Holiday Season on Saturday, December 3 with the annual Winter Street Market & Light Up.

From 11am-6pm at Stuart Park, Water Street will be lined with artisan and market vendors complimented by live entertainment and free family activities.

Visitors to the Market can enjoy a seasonal “adult beverage” while browsing and shopping. Hot chocolate will also be available by donation (min. $5) with proceeds going to the Central Okanagan Food Bank.

The mainstage in Stuart Park, presented by Westcorp, features live entertainment and music throughout the day. Santa will be making a special guest appearance and will be available for Photos with Santa inside the Fortis BC Santa HQ tent. All pre-booked photo appointments are full, but walk-ups are welcome.

Other activities will be hosted onsite by the Okanagan Science Centre and Let’s Talk Science, while lanterns for Light Up can be made just down the street at the Kelowna Art Gallery. Skating will be available at the Stuart Park rink, weather permitting.

The annual light up of the Christmas Tree will be at 4:45pm, allowing those who have come Downtown for the event to stay Downtown for dinner or holiday cheer with friends.

Water Street will be closed between the Doyle and Queensway roundabouts from 6am to 9pm to accommodate the event.
