Kelowna Scarecrow Festival returns September 25
It’s time to get ready for the the Kelowna Scarecrow Festival, proudly presented by Interior Savings. On Sunday September 25, 2022, more than 40 artisans, activities, food trucks and entertainment will be on site at Rutland Lions Park, located at 175 Gray Road, from 11am to 4 pm.
Attendees can take in live entertainment, have fun with activities for the kids, enjoy eats from local food trucks, and shop in the artisan marketplace. For a list of participating vendors, entertainment and more info visit the website www.kelownscarecrowfestival.ca.
It wouldn’t be a scarecrow festival without scarecrows, attendees can build your own scarecrow for the competition and then take their scarecrow home with them. Scarecrows are limited and you are encouraged to purchase in advance on our website, $25 with partial proceeds going to the Kelowna and District S.H.A.R.E Society and the Salvation Army.
“We are proud to be producing the revitalized Scarecrow Festival for the first time this year,” says Impact Events + Brand Management Owner, Christina Ferreira. “The one-day, family-friendly event offers something for everyone and is a welcome opportunity for community members to get out, have some fun, get a family photo taken in our photobooth sponsored by TELUS and enjoy Rutland.”
As one of the area’s signature events of 2022, the Scarecrow Festival is bringing back all the excitement and fun it has historically with the addition of more scarecrow building opportunities, more food trucks, more activities and a larger artisan market.
Admission to the event is free. Those who want to build a scarecrow are asked to pay $25, and all supplies to build the scarecrow are provided courtesy of Don O’Ray Farms, The Kelowna and District S.H.A.R.E Society and the Salvation Army. As the number of scarecrows are limited the community is encouraged to purchase their scarecrow in advance for pick-up at the Scarecrow Festival.
