WOMEN IN MUSIC CANADA
ANNOUNCE LAUNCH OF NEW MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM

DESIGNED TO BETTER MEET THE NEEDS OF WOMEN IN ARTISTIC AND MUSIC INDUSTRY CAREERS IN CANADA

REGISTRATION OPEN NOW

TORONTO, ON – October 17, 2023 – Since its inception in 2014, Women in Music Canada has seen exponential growth in its membership and offerings, helping to foster gender equality in the music industry through the support and advancement of professionals and creatives at every stage of their career. Today, the organization is thrilled to announce their new expanded membership program, designed to provide greater engagement and a robust benefit package, created to better meet the needs of women in artistic and industry careers in Canada. Registration is now available here.

The new membership level offers exclusive access to discounts for WIMC and industry partner programs, as well as a mentorship platform, invitation to exclusive networking events, access to a group health care plan, and more. Thanks to support from WIMC’s generous membership partners, including Paquin Entertainment Group and Sony Music Canada, fees are offered at a subsidized rate, as well as company packages and student pricing, aiming to provide increased accessibility to all registrants.

“Women in Music Canada has seen incredible growth in recent years,” says Executive Director, Robyn Stewart. “Membership in the past has been simply signing up for WIM Canada communications. In March 2022 we launched the WIM Canada Directory, as a new way to engage and connect our community, and to date, the Directory has 1200+ members. We are excited to now release this new membership platform, which will allow us to provide more value for members and have a better understanding of what our community wants. I am also so excited to welcome our first two membership partners, Paquin Entertainment and Sony Music Canada, who make it possible for us to keep membership fees as low as possible as they commit to supporting equity in the Canadian music industry.”

“I think it is essential to have a strong female presence in all aspects of the music industry; on stage, behind the scenes, on boards and at executive levels. We are thrilled to partner with Women in Music Canada to continue to change the dichotomy of the music industry by adding dynamic thinkers and leaders who have incredible stories to share,” says Julien Paquin, Co-President, Paquin Artists Agency
