Enjoy more music, more fun as West Kelowna’s Music in the Park, presented by RE/MAX, expands for summer 2023!
West Kelowna, BC – The stage is set, and the rhythms of summer are queued up for an incredible, expanded Music in the Park season at West Kelowna’s Annette Beaudreau Amphitheater.
This popular, free concert series, produced by Creative Okanagan, will entertain fans of all ages with an outstanding variety of performances and genres. The 2023 Music in the Park series, running every Friday from June 23 to August 25, pausing briefly during the July 7 weekend for Westside Daze concerts, will bring the community together for unforgettable evenings of live music and entertainment, featuring an array of local and touring musicians.
The program, presented by RE/MAX, is made possible thanks to the support of the Province of B.C., City of West Kelowna, RE/MAX, Pushor Mitchell LLP and Valley First, a division of First West Credit Union.
Music in the Park will kick off June 23 with headliner Locarno, the Latin project by Juno Award-winning musician Tom Landa. Be swept away by a compelling blend of Mexican, Cuban, and North American music, while the warm sun sets on Okanagan Lake.
On June 30, Leila Neverland returns to the stage, bringing her memorizing performance in its entirety, after a lightning storm interrupted her 2022 performance.
Juno Award winner Celeigh Cardinal headlines an exciting evening on July 14 with Indigenous songwriter and storyteller Francis Baptise opening the evening. Baptiste released his debut album titled Sneqsilx, meaning family, which features songs sung in the Nsyilxcən [nah-silk-sen] language.
West Kelowna’s Music in the Park is also thrilled to reveal the full 2023 lineup of diverse acts:
- June 23 – Locarno headlining and Luke Wallace opening.
- June 30 – Leila Neverland headlining and Gary Saturday opening.
- July 14 – Celeigh Cardinal headlining and Francis Baptiste opening.
- July 21 – Digging Roots headlining and Layer Cake Mountain opening.
- July 28 – Brother Down, with guest Payton Bischoff, headlining and Graham Ord Blues Band opening.
- August 4 – Don Adler headlining and nightshades opening.
- August 11 – 538st headlining and The Blueshounds opening.
- August 18 – Rhindress headlining and Kailee McGuire Trio opening.
- August 25 – BADGENTINA headlining and Andrew Smith Trio opening.
Each night will also kick off with a lineup of local emerging artists, with an aim to provide a platform for up-and-coming musicians to showcase their talents and connect with a larger audience. Concertgoers can mark their calendars and prepare for a terrific evening of live music, starting with the emerging artist at approximately 6:40 p.m., followed by the opening act at 7:00 p.m. and the headliner at 8:00 p.m. All concerts take place at the picturesque Annette Beaudreau Amphitheater located near Highway 97 and Old Okanagan Highway.
Fans are encouraged to bring their favorite lawn chairs and blankets as they get comfortable to enjoy a relaxed and fun-filled evening of live performances, food trucks, entertainment and activities for the whole family.
Parking is limited and it is highly recommended to walk, bike, or rideshare to this event.
