“We’re going to be doing something a little different on this tour, creating a show that reflects both sides of who I am and the music I make: the reflective songwriter and the rock and roll entertainer all in one setlist,” said Townes. “I can’t wait to see everybody at these clubs, singing these songs and coming together as our community!”Tomorrow Can Wait,” as well as her own new song “The Last Time,” which she premiered at the 2022 Canadian Country Music Association Awards. Townes, who co-hosted the awards alongside Blanco Brown, earned trophies for Single of the Year and Songwriter of the Year (both for “Girl Who Didn’t Care,” co-written with Steph Jones and David Pramik), her fourth consecutive Female Artist of the Year award, as well as her Entertainer and Album of the Year honors. She is nominated for the Country Music Association’s International Artist Achievement Award while in the midst of her European tour that continues Oct. 17 in Glasgow. She’ll continue her own headlining dates stateside with a performance Nov. 2 at the Gramercy Theatre in New York City TENILLE TOWNES LIVE Oct. 17—Glasgow, UK—Oran Mor Oct. 18—Bristol, UK—Fleece Oct. 19—London, UK—Scala Oct. 20—Manchester, UK—Gorilla Oct. 22—Utrecht, Netherlands—Tivoli Vreden Burg Oct. 24—Berlin, DE—Privatclub Oct. 25—Hamburg, DE—Häkken Nov. 2—New York, NY—Gramercy Theatre Nov. 3—Cambridge, MA—The Sinclair Nov. 4—Philadelphia, PA—World Café Live Nov. 8—Oshawa, ON—The Music Hall Nov. 10 —Kitchner, ON—Wax Nov. 11—London, ON—London Music Hall Nov. 12—Toronto, ON—Danforth Music Hall Nov. 13—Ottawa, ON—Bronson Centre Nov. 18—Fort Worth, TX—Dickies Arena (Opening for George Strait) Nov. 19—Fort Worth, TX—Dickies Arena (Opening for George Strait) SIDE A + B TOUR Jan. 18, 2023 – Portland, OR – Mississippi Studios Jan. 19, 2023 – Seattle, WA – Tractor Tavern Jan. 20, 2023 – Vancouver, BC – Commodore Ballroom Jan. 21, 2023 – Kelowna, BC – Kelowna Community Theatre Jan. 25, 2023 – Calgary, AB – Jack Singer Concert Hall Jan. 26, 2023 – Edmonton, AB – Winspear Centre Jan. 27, 2023 – Saskatoon, SK – Coors Event Centre Jan. 29, 2023 – Winnipeg, MB – The Park Theatre
Having earned her Entertainer of the Year title delivering heart wrenching, personal ballads that can stop an audience in their tracks coupled with searing, high-energy moments, Townes’ latest trek will reflect the duality that inspired her project Masquerades. Featuring collaborations “Shared Walls” with BRELAND and “When You Need It” with Wrabel, Masquerades earned superlatives from The Boot (“excellent”), Essentially Pop (“brilliant”), Wide Open Country (“full of great songs”), and more, in addition to being named Ford F-150 Album of the Year at the 2022 CCMA Awards.
