2018 was the 10th year of Swinging with the Stars,
and we went all out for this celebration.
We increased tickets, elevated tables, and the room was jam-packed. Sold-out events followed in 2019 and 2020, and over the last 12 years, this event has raised $2,270,572. We cannot thank you enough – our dancers, instructors, campaign managers, local businesses, volunteers, guests, and all who donate to COHA through this event.
COHA has supported the community, from Peachland to Lake Country, for over 39 years. COHA is committed to helping individuals living with a serious illness live to the fullest until they die, and to help their loved one be supported through their grief.
In 2015, Matt August and his family were supported by COHA, through Matt’s uncle’s journey with illness. Since then, Matt has taken philanthropy to a whole other level, when it comes to his support for COHA. He joined the COHA Board of Directors, raised funds to build the COHA August Centre and in 2020, he stepped on to the dance floor at Swinging with the Stars. A crowd favourite, Matt not only took home the trophy for Audience Choice, but also won the Most Pledges Raised title, leading the charge on raising $314,500 for Swinging with the Stars 2020.
