On the heels of Frazey’s sold out 2023 tours in the UK, Europe and the USA, Frazey is excited to be delivering her live show supporting her U Kin B the Sun album with her full band to an Okanagan audience. Renowned for her soulful and distinctive musical style, Ford is known as a founding member of the critically acclaimed folk trio The Be Good Tanyas – and her solo career has earned her widespread praise. With a mesmerizing voice that effortlessly fuses folk, soul, and R&B influences, she has released a series of captivating albums, including “Obadiah” and “Indian Ocean,” each showcasing her poignant songwriting and emotive vocals. Ford’s music resonates with authenticity and deep introspection, drawing listeners into a world of heartfelt storytelling and sonic enchantment. Her performance promises an intimate and soul-stirring journey through her musical catalog.

Opening for Frazey will be Jillian Lake, hailing from the heart of Vancouver. Combining velvet sounds and big feelings, Jillian released her debut full length album ‘Younger Then’ in the spring of 2022. She has since debuted her songs across Canada, as well as internationally headlining across Europe summer of 2023. Diving into the studio to begin the production of her sophomore album exploring a more raw and true side of herself, she is on the verge of an artistic metamorphosis and ready to make waves. About the Route 97 Cultural Development Society Based in Penticton, B.C., the Route97 Cultural Development Society is dedicated to transforming British Columbia’s Route 97 into a vibrant hub for Canada’s established and emerging artists, with a primary focus on live music. Their mission involves nurturing artistic growth, promoting and organizing diverse and captivating live cultural performances, and contributing to the development of touring infrastructure in B.C.’s interior.
