Free Evening ESL courses in the Okanagan

Now if you are Canadian you may not know what ESL – stands for. ESL means English as A Second Language.

Many students and immigrants in our communities through out The Okanagan are here and English is their second or even third language.

Focus College Kelowna has decided to give back to the community in the form of FREE Evening ESL classes for the month of February.

Sales & Marketing Manager Angie Clowry says “While the college focuses on Business, Software Development, IT and Bylaw as well as introductory courses many of their students are from other countries.”

She says “With family members, and partners living or arriving in Canada with little English comprehension the Kelowna college plans on helping with that.”

For the month of February Focus College’s Kelowna campus will be providing evening ESL classes at no charge with pre-registration to accommodate the class size.

Focus College will give an assessment on arrival to check which English level the students are at currently.

Those wishing to sign up are asked to pre-register at www.Focuscollege.com/start-learning

If they have any questions they are welcome to contact Angie Clowry or David Kuhn at Focus College for details.
