Downtown Kelowna Little Black Book to launch on Black Friday. Downtown Kelowna Association.

The first ever Downtown Kelowna Little Black Book will launch on Black Friday, November 23!

Shop locally from November 23 to December 9 for your holiday gifts at participating Downtown Kelowna shops and eateries and you can enter for a chance to win over $3000 in prizing*.

What’s more, Little Black Book gives holiday shoppers a great opportunity to connect to the local business community on a deeper level. Chat with the business owners about the products and the stories of the people who made them.

During the two-week promotion for each $25 purchase you can collect a sticker. Collect all six (6) stickers and enter your Little Black Book for a chance to win some great prizes. This small purchase does more than just get you one sticker closer to prizes, it also creates a ripple effect of support to local small shops, and ultimately the community where we live.

By participating in Little Black Book during the kickoff to the holiday shopping season, we are all given the opportunity to play our part. Oh, and did we mention there are amazing prizes you can win?

Little Black Book is part of BC Buy Local Week (December 3 – 9), an annual celebration of the unique contributions that BC businesses make to our economy. They strengthen the social fabric and donate to local causes. They provide great jobs, and support local service providers, keeping money circulating in the community. Consumers love local and BC Buy Local Week helps showcase BC local owned businesses, and BC local grown and local made products found in stores everywhere.

So this holiday season, vote with your dollar, pick up at a Little Black Book at participating shops, and support your local retailers this Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday, and every other day thereafter. And, in so doing, help us create the ripples that will have the biggest impacts through the smallest of purchases.

There are limited quantities of our 2018 edition, so get one while you can!

Publisher and CEO. First & foremost, father, son, brother and uncle. I am also a huge music fan, promoter and marketing & promotions maniac. As a fulltime musician for the past 35 years myself (yikes, that’s a long time!), I’ve come to appreciate the fact that I am able to perform and sing for people and in return, them enjoy it as much as I do. There is something to be said for that exchange of energy and good vibes that live music brings to all, from the stage to the seats, there is nothing like it and I so look forward to feeling that again when we are out of this crazy mess we are in. Music is needed desperately in everyone’s lives. The goal is to reach out and bring some awareness and light into the music scene by featuring their new music, events and in general, some light into the changes we’ve all had to adjust to in 2020. We all feel the strain in every aspect of these changes and are going to try to do our best to fill our cups up with some fantastic local music while many so of us hang on through this bumpy ride we are on. ? Making an effort to change our own thoughts and habits, can strike a chord mentally and change us along with our communities lives. Be safe and…let’s ROCK N ROLL!
