Kelowna, BC ~ The Central Okanagan Hospice Association (COHA) is proud to announce the 12th Anniversary of Swinging with the Stars February 22, 2020.

The annual fundraiser moving into it’s 12th year brings a roster of new dancers ready to fundraise for the Central Okanagan Hospice Association, all while having a lot of fun over the next few months working with their dance instructors to showcase their new dance moves at the signature event this February.

The evening will set the stage for four dancers/couples and, three teams who will strut their moves on the dance floor as part of the annual event. Dancers are already fundraising and rehearsing to participate in the event, this year’s line-up includes:

  • Jamela Van Steinburg (Harmony Homes)
  • Amanda Sigouin (Advance Dental Group)
  • Matt August (August Automotive Group)
  • Isaac Potash & Jaye Siegmueller (Upside Cider)

Plus a Team Category that has three teams that have come together to raise funds and dance together for the 12th annual event, each team consists of five to ten dancers on each team. The roster of teams includes:

  • Kelowna Capital News
  • Crimson Hair Salon
  • Invati

During the coming months each dancer and team will be practicing their routines and fundraising in preparation for the big show on February 22nd at the Delta Grand Hotel.  Tickets to the 12th Anniversary of Swinging with the Stars presented by Jane Hoffman Group are now on sale and can be purchased by contacting Tanya at the COHA August Centre 250.763.5511.

In partnership with the Central Okanagan Hospice Palliative Care Program of Interior Health, COHA is committed to “Helping people with a serious illness live to the fullest until they die, and to help their loved one to be supported through their grief.”

Trained volunteers are across the Central Okanagan supporting individuals and families in long term care facilities, at Kelowna General Hospital, Central Okanagan Hospice House, in private homes and at the COHA August Centre. Volunteers are the heart of hospice and are very compassionate and dedicated in providing emotional, social and practical support.

Services provided by COHA also include wellness programs and professional counselling, and a comprehensive lending library. All services are provided at no cost.
