“We’re not just teen musicians with a dream,” shares the band, “we’re a band on a mission to create something special and meaningful that people feel connected to and want to be part of.”
Tuesday April 9th has Comeback Kid taking the Revelry stage. The band is noted for their influence on both the Canadian and international punk and hardcore music scenes. With a brand new EP titled Trouble just released on March 15th, this will be one of the first opportunities to hear the five piece band’s new material live.
On Friday April 12th and Saturday April 13th, Femme Fatale will be presenting ICONS – the dancers’ 10th anniversary showcase. Performances will be rooted in the sounds of iconic musical artists, from pop to soul. Having established themselves as a formidable force in Kelowna, the group is excited to share their biggest production to date. Various ticket options are available, some of which include reserved seats and dinner service.
A jam-packed line up of amazing musicians will be visiting Revelry during the third week of April, beginning Thursday April 18th with “An Evening with Tony Lucca and Keaton Simons.” When not playing as part of internationally recognized country artist Brett Young’s band, Lucca and Simons each perform their own original material which has been widely featured on radio and television. Both artists are also veterans of the house concert series that inspired Revelry Food+Music Hub.
Canadian rock legend Big Sugar will perform on Friday April 19th. The band is currently touring in support of their deluxe vinyl release of the album “Five Hundred Pounds.” Big Sugar has received accolades from countless notable names in the music world, including Jack White of the White Stripes who is a personal fan.
Then on Saturday April 20th, Revelry will host Katie Pruitt. Pruitt is a Nashville-based singer songwriter who has been featured multiple times in Rolling Stone magazine. She is scheduled to perform at this year’s Calgary Stampede as well as the Stagecoach festival in California. Her 2020 debut album Expectations, which documents Pruitt’s journey growing up queer in the US Christian South, earned her a nomination for Emerging Artist of the Year from the Americana Music Association. Now touring in support of her brand new album Mantras, which further explores themes in her debut release, Pruitt has performed with artists such as Brandi Carlile, My Morning Jacket, The Milk Carton Kids and more. Jack Van Cleaf, an artist on a rapid rise, will be opening the show.
April 27th will see the launch of a new series hosted by Revelry – Nash Bash. The country music themed events will feature a rotating slate of live music artists presented in a way that feels more like a house party than a typical concert. Local artist Dawson Gray will perform to kick off the series, and then shift into the host role for future engagements. General admission and VIP tickets will be available, with food and beverage options featured alongside engaging activities that are sure to make for a memorable experience. Stay tuned for more on this exciting collaboration in the coming weeks.
