“Forever Country”, the new song that is being called “country music’s most epic mashup,” was released earlier this week, but fans were left hanging as they waited for the song’s video. Thankfully, the wait is over!

The collaboration created in celebration of “The 50th Annual CMA Awards” features 30 CMA Award-winning acts including Alabama, Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Brooks & Dunn, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Brett Eldredge, Vince Gill, Faith Hill, Alan Jackson, Lady Antebellum,Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Martina McBride, Tim McGraw, Ronnie Milsap, Kacey Musgraves, Brad Paisley, Charley Pride, Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton, George Strait,Randy Travis, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Reba McEntire and Trisha Yearwood. The star-studded group performs a mashup of John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You,” and Willie Nelson’s “On the Road Again.”

Clips of the artists involved have been available online, but it was an impatient wait for the full video to be released. The video concept itself was a surprise to the artists involved as they taped their clips in front of a green screen

“We don’t even know about the concept of the video itself other than, you know, there’s gonna be some stuff going on behind us,” Kix Brooks said, But [there is] a very talented director as well so we’ve all kind of got a big question mark hanging over our head right now…”

“The visual side of it is really what’s gonna be beautiful,” Vince Gill shared. “And everybody is excited to see what [director] Justin [Kahn] is gonna do with it.”

Tonight (September 20), during Dancing With The Stars, fans got a sneak peek at the video with the full version premiering online shortly after. We must say…the wait was worth it!

Publisher and CEO. First & foremost, father, son, brother and uncle. I am also a huge music fan, promoter and marketing & promotions maniac. As a fulltime musician for the past 35 years myself (yikes, that’s a long time!), I’ve come to appreciate the fact that I am able to perform and sing for people and in return, them enjoy it as much as I do. There is something to be said for that exchange of energy and good vibes that live music brings to all, from the stage to the seats, there is nothing like it and I so look forward to feeling that again when we are out of this crazy mess we are in. Music is needed desperately in everyone’s lives. The goal is to reach out and bring some awareness and light into the music scene by featuring their new music, events and in general, some light into the changes we’ve all had to adjust to in 2020. We all feel the strain in every aspect of these changes and are going to try to do our best to fill our cups up with some fantastic local music while many so of us hang on through this bumpy ride we are on. ? Making an effort to change our own thoughts and habits, can strike a chord mentally and change us along with our communities lives. Be safe and…let’s ROCK N ROLL!
