Downtown Kelowna Winter Street Market & Light Up Returns Saturday, November 30
The Downtown Kelowna Association (DKA) is kicking off the Holiday Season next Saturday, November 30th with the return of Winter Street Market & Light Up.
From 12pm-6pm at Stuart Park, Water Street will be lined with artisan and market vendors, celebrations will be complimented by live entertainment and free family activities. Free ice skating will be available at Stuart Park, and Light Up will be at 5:00pm sharp.
Visitors to the Water St. Market can enjoy hot chocolate, available by donation, with proceeds going to the Central Okanagan Food Bank. Anyone looking to escape the cold for a few moments can drop by the BCLC “Warm Up Station.”
Santa will be on hand from noon-4:45pm for Photos With Santa, presented by ATB Wealth. Please be sure to pre-book photo via our Eventbrite registration.
The mainstage in Stuart Park will feature live entertainment culminating with the lighting of the Downtown Kelowna Christmas Tree at 5:00pm. Santa and local dignitaries will be on hand to flip the switch at Light Up.
This year a NEW Satellite Winter Street Market at Cannery Lane has been introduced. Cannery Lane will be filled with vendors and activities to help extend the Winter Street Market & Light Up celebration throughout the downtown core.
Other activities downtown that day include The Festival of Trees at the Marriott Grand Okanagan Resort, Craft Culture Holiday Magic Market at the RCA and the Kelowna Art Gallery is hosting a lantern-making activity from 1pm-5pm.
Water Street, between the Doyle and Queensway roundabouts, will be closed from 6am to 8:30pm to accommodate Winter Street Market.
Parking: The first two hours of on-street parking is free starting November 30th and continues every Saturday in December. Drivers must still register their license plate at the meter, but payment is not required for the first two hours. Other time restrictions still apply. Parking is also available at no charge every Saturday and Sunday in the Library, Chapman, and Memorial Parkades.
