Control Releases First Mobile Platform Integrating PayPal and Stripe Data

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA–(Marketwired – Sep 27, 2016) – Today, Control, a mobile leader in payment analytics and alerts platform for software as a service (SaaS), e-commerce, and subscription-based businesses, is today announcing the launch of its fully integrated PayPal and Stripe-compatible product, available across both mobile and web.

With this milestone launch, SaaS, e-commerce and subscription-based businesses now have consumer-grade mobility when it comes to their metrics, allowing them to respond to important payment events the instant they happen.

Alexander Peh, Head of Mobile and Market Development, PayPal Canada, said: “The mobile payments space in Canada is in a high-growth phase and we are delighted to work with Control for their new mobile intelligence platform which offers greater value for our users.”

Real-time payments alerts

“Data gets old fast. Relevant data is data that’s happening right now, and the immediacy of customer data you get with Control is what makes the information useful,” says Kathryn Loewen, the founder and CEO of Control. “In this case, merchants are agnostic to whether the data is coming from PayPal, Stripe, Apple Pay or Alipay. They want to know about high-risk activity, churn rate and average revenue per user, as it happens.”

Data consolidation

This release is a win for Control’s customers, such as VisualPing, which monitors payment data from more than 300,000 users fragmented across multiple channels, including PayPal and Stripe.

“I use Control to monitor new payments. It’s the first app I open when waking up and the last one I check at night,” says VisualPing and AdLinks founder and CEO Serge Salagar.

Control relieves users from needing to switch between dashboards, exporting spreadsheets, and manually calculating key business metrics. All key Stripe and PayPal metrics, payments, and customers are consolidated into one app.

Mobile first

43% of small businesses manage operations with their smartphone, and the market opportunity for business applications that work seamlessly on mobile continues to grow. As a mobile and web app, merchants can integrate Control’s technology into their business as easily as a consumer can integrate PayPal into their lifestyle – without coding or a team of developers.

Control plans to bring real-time payments alerts to support other payment gateways as well, to help merchants around the world to better understand important activity in their businesses.

Control is available as an Android, iOS and web app, with a 14-day free trial. It operates on a freemium model, with users on the free tier still able to use Control as a simple payments dashboard and accept mobile payments through the app. Control has grown its user base to 600 subscription users among SaaS companies since securing seed funding last year.

This month, Control added two new members to their board of advisors:

  • Simon Stanlake, former CTO of Hootsuite
  • Jeremy Wallace, CMO of Unbounce

Publisher and CEO. First & foremost, father, son, brother and uncle. I am also a huge music fan, promoter and marketing & promotions maniac. As a fulltime musician for the past 35 years myself (yikes, that’s a long time!), I’ve come to appreciate the fact that I am able to perform and sing for people and in return, them enjoy it as much as I do. There is something to be said for that exchange of energy and good vibes that live music brings to all, from the stage to the seats, there is nothing like it and I so look forward to feeling that again when we are out of this crazy mess we are in. Music is needed desperately in everyone’s lives. The goal is to reach out and bring some awareness and light into the music scene by featuring their new music, events and in general, some light into the changes we’ve all had to adjust to in 2020. We all feel the strain in every aspect of these changes and are going to try to do our best to fill our cups up with some fantastic local music while many so of us hang on through this bumpy ride we are on. ? Making an effort to change our own thoughts and habits, can strike a chord mentally and change us along with our communities lives. Be safe and…let’s ROCK N ROLL!
