Under the Rocks: Album Release Concert

Hailing from Kelowna, Under the Rocks has become one of Canada’s premier bluegrass bands. Their shows are full of dancing, laughter, joy, and hoots and hollers.
“This is no ordinary “local” band by any measure or meaning of that word. These are serious, national or international level players who have melded into a dynamic music project that would stand up against many of the best this genre has to offer.”

This week (April 14 – 20) is National Volunteer Week! This week and always, we want to celebrate each and every volunteer and all they do to create vibrant communities. At the RCA, we rely heavily on our volunteers for all our day-to-day operations. RCA is incredibly thankful to our many volunteers for helping us continue to be the heart of Kelowna’s Arts and Cultural experience.

Explore Dance: Contact and Dance Improv
Saturday April 27, May 25, & June 29
This unique dance series features 4 improvisation classes open to all levels of experience. Featuring Dance Improvisation with Claudia Moore, and Contact Improvisation with Hailey McCloskey and guest artists Karen and Allen Kaeja from Toronto.
Do you want to express yourself through voice and body? Participants will learn tools and techniques to create devised performance moments based on their interests, for example, social, environmental, or political matters.

Join us for a night of Blues with Sherman Doucette. Sherman has had the great privilege of sharing the stage with legendary players such as John Lee Hooker, Albert Collins, Sony Land Slim, Pinetop Perkins, Jim Byrnes and Long John Baldry.
