Ben Klick releases new single “Going Camping”
Ben Klick, known as “The Guitar Pickin’ Country Gentleman” who fuses modern country sounds with a traditional twist, wrote and released a brand new song, “Going Camping”.
After spending weekends camping with friends in the woods and at various campsites in trailers, tents, and sometimes in the bed of a truck with an air mattress, Klick penned “Going Camping” combining all of his experiences into a song.
“Honestly, I was never much of a ‘camping guy’ growing up, other than the odd trip with family down to Osoyoos and Oliver when I was a lot younger. However, over the last few years I’ve been doing it a lot more! I’ve always loved sitting around a fire, roasting marshmallows and making smores, and playing guitars and having a campfire jam.”
The rockin’ summer anthem, along with Klick’s guitar driven sound, catchy lyric and melody gets you into the “no worries weekend” mood and ready to pack up for a little “nature’s heaven getaway”.
Coming off the backs of 2 awards at the recent 2023 BC Country Music Association Awards, as well as the Greater Westside Board of Trade win for Arts & Entertainment, Klick announced his moved to Nashville, TN to further develop his career as an artist, guitar player, songwriter, and producer. However, starting June 20th, Klick is returning home and heading out on the road for the band’s 10-Year Anniversary Tour hitting indoor and outdoor venues in the Okanagan and Interior of BC. Cities include Grand Forks, West Kelowna, Kelowna, Vernon, Salmon Arm, and Chase with more to be added.
“The band is the same group of guys from 10 years ago.” states Klick. “Darrin Cherewayko (Dirt) on drums, and Cyril Schermann on bass. And for this run of shows, Jeremy Kneeshaw is joining us on lap steel, acoustic guitar, and electric guitar.”
