Tastings and Tapas at Liquidity Winery
As summer draws to a close and the colours in our Okanagan landscape tint to Autumn hues, there’s still time to treat yourself to tastings and tapas in the Tapas Room at Liquidity Winery.
You’ll find Liquidity strategically situated in Okanagan Falls overlooking its vineyards and those of neighbouring wineries, Vaseux Lake, rugged cliffs such as McIntyre Bluff, and more vineyards up Hawthorne Mountain. The impressive metal gate and picturesque lane through which you pass hints at the sanctuary you are about to encounter. The setting is breathtaking while the serenity is rejuvenating. Pause to take it all in and reset your internal clock to linger luxuriously in the moment.

Liquidity has a reputation for fine wines along with an artistic flare that spills over into its grounds, tasting room and cuisine. Stepping through the door, you are captivated by the vista and find staff that are just as welcoming. Serving our table was Page, a seasonable server who was testament to Liquidity’s staff training program. Page oozed with enthusiasm as she related the story behind each wine.

Tapas Room Lunch
Several tasting experiences are available at the tasting bar and in the Tapas Room. My husband and I were recently invited to experience lunch. The menu offers a lovely value option in which you can choose any three items on the tapas menu for $25.
Given the bounty of the Okanagan growing region, seasonal dishes are rotated, and each visit allows you an opportunity to indulge in something new or re-imagined. Liquidity invites you to “Lean into the Lavish.”
For our visit, I did the Signature Tasting and Mark selected a Pinot Noir. Thanks to Guest Experience Manager Adam Hughes, who was keen to showcase the Liquidity portfolio, we sampled a wide selection of wines without a weak vintage among them. These days the wines are produced by a winemaking team rather than directed by a single winemaker.
It was difficult to choose from the August Tapas, and we ultimately selected Beef Tartare, Sesame Soy Glazed Chicken, and Lemon Butter Prawn Skillet. And we couldn’t resist sharing the Affogato Espresso Gelato.

Estate Chef Joshua Bauerlein came up through the ranks having served a couple of years as Liquidity’s Sous Chef. He loves creating his outstanding dishes with local ingredients and his menu showcases BC local suppliers such as Codfathers Seafood, Plot Twist Farms, and Two Rivers Meats.
His approach shone through in each of the dishes we selected and the attention to detail was exquisite. The wine pairing recommendations for each were on point and enhanced the flavour profiles.

Liquidity Collective
A robust wine club named the Liquidity Collective is also offered. Members are asked to commit to receiving six bottles, three times per year. Each shipment presents selection curated for the season ahead and allows flexibility to tailor selections to your taste.
Members also enjoy access to exclusive wines, intimate events, curated tastings, dedicated seating, and the luxury of the Loft.
The Loft at Liquidity is a private residence located on site that can be booked for overnight stays. It features its own entrance and parking, gourmet kitchen and living room with a powder room, plus two primary bedrooms featuring king-size beds with luxurious ensuites. That gorgeous view already described is captivated through the floor-to-ceiling windows.
A stay includes private concierge service and can be enhanced by pre-booking the optional private chef’s table for a five-course dinner.
