What’s Up? The Local Music Scene Episode #10

Want to submit your upcoming events or music? We would love to hear it! Please send to whatsup@gonzookanagan.com.

As a fulltime musician for the past 35 years myself (yikes, that’s a long time!), I’ve come to appreciate the fact that I am able to perform and sing for people and in return, enjoy it as much as I do. There is something to be said for that exchange of energy and good vibes that live music brings to all, from the stage to the seats, there is nothing like it and I so look forward to feeling that again when we are out of this crazy mess we are in. Music is needed desperately in everyone’s lives.

The goal here from these episodes on Gonzo Okanagan & K96.3 Kelowna’s Classic Rock is to reach out and bring some awareness and light into the local Central Okanagan Music Scene by featuring their new music, events and in general, some light into the changes we’ve all had to adjust to in 2020. We all feel the strain in every aspect of these changes and are going to try to do our best to fill our cups up with some fantastic local music while many so of us hang on through this bumpy ride we are on. ?

Making an effort to change our own thoughts and habits, can strike a chord mentally and change us along with our communities lives. Be safe and…let’s ROCK N ROLL!

What’s Up? The Local Music Scene Episode #10

Not much going on at all for live performances other than live streaming because of the recent announcement to stay the course by the BC Health Officers. Many musicians are doing their best to stay busy by writing or doing Facebook live events or staying creative by teaching music online such as this talented local guitarist, Loni Moger (Guitar Voice, Music Theory, Ear Training, Improvisation, Songwriting, Arranging, and Recording Music).

…and Conroy Lee Ross from the Carbons & The Pickups (rock – bass and guitar lessons).

What a perfect gift this Christmas for someone who wants to learn how to play guitar and it supports our local artists who are among one of the largest group affected by the pandemic.

Great to be showcasing features and local musicians with the K Wake Up with Brad (another rad Brad) and Alysha on K96.3 Kelowna’s Classic Rock.

If you missed the show, you can listen in here with Brad, Brad & Alysha on the K Wake Up on K96.3 Kelowna’s Classic Rock.
