Denim on the Diamond adds to its impressive line-up
Denim on the Diamond is bringing two time #1 hit maker on SiriusXM’s ‘The Highway’s Hot 30 Country Countdown’ artist Tyler Braden to Kelowna City Park on August 30th.
Braden, a two-time #1 hit maker on SiriusXM’s ‘The Highway’s Hot 30 Country Countdown,’ has gritty powerhouse vocals, an expressive pen and the ability to deliver lyrics with complete conviction worthy of a headliner. Hailing from Alabama, now residing in Nashville, Tennessee, Braden, a member of the Warner Music family, began performing while between shifts as a firefighter in both Montgomery, Alabama and Nashville.
With 500+ million global streams to his name, Braden is now taking stages world-round. He will join Brothers Osborne on their Might As Well Be Us world tour with legs in the UK and Ireland in January 2025. Braden’s previous artists he’s shared the stage with includes Luke Bryan, Brooks & Dunn, Chris Stapleton, Dierks Bentley and Mitchell Tenpenny.
Braden’s energy and emotion are connecting with fans across the world; his powerful voice will be on full display at Kelowna City Park on Saturday, August 31st alongside Tyler Hubbard, Alana Springsteen and more country music stars.
Denim on the Diamond is produced by Thick as Thieves Entertainment, a local group of friends who got together seven years ago to start hosting music for each other. The event has grown steadily with support from hundreds of local staff and businesses, such as BNA Brewing, Barn Owl Brewery, Quails Gate Winery, Andre’s Electronics, Bannister Automotive Group, Arc Liquor, EMCO and many other retailers, food trucks and small Kelowna businesses.
Denim on the Diamond has been voted “Best Festival” five times; “I think it is because it is a locally produced event, staffed by hundreds of local hospitality professionals you see around Kelowna, supporting local businesses like the breweries, wineries, food trucks, retailers,” said Mitch Carefoot, co-founder of Thick as Thieves Entertainment. “It is beyond our wildest dreams that Denim has been able to attract artists like Tyler Braden, Alana Springsteen, KALEO, or Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line.”
“Wiith the beautiful venue surrounded by trees, walking on the grass, and a few steps from Okanagan Lake, it is one of the nicest music venues in the world,” said Kurt Jory, co-founder of Thick as Thieves Entertainment, on the festival’s move to Kelowna City Park in 2023. “We are honored the city of Kelowna trusts us to represent our community, and ultimately, for us it is about creating spaces for people to share fun experiences. Time spent with loved ones is really all that matters in the end.”
Denim on the Diamond at City Park in Kelowna runs three days from August 30th to September 1st, with rock, pop, country and DJ artists, including Bishop Briggs, K.Flay, Chance Peña, VAVO, Aysanabee and many others.
