Vancouver International Guitar Festival Announces Luthier Workshop Series
The Vancouver International Guitar Festival organizers are excited to announce the Luthier Workshop Series, September 24, 25, showcasing the exceptional and innovative talents of the best in guitar making!
Sharpen your skills and develop a deeper understanding of the craft with master classes for everyone from hobbyists to seasoned professionals. Throughout the weekend elite luthiers and artisans will be sharing the secrets of their success in acoustic and electric guitar building, setup, finishing, construction, tonewood selection, boutique guitar marketing and more.
Experts in the field scheduled include Dave Reimer of Reimer Guitars, veteran guitar finishers John Reghle and Robert Bustos of Vancouver Guitar finishing, luthier and instrument restorer Nicole Alosinac, Bernard Funston of Funston Guitars, Bob Lennon of Thermalwood Canada, Matt Eich of Mule Resophonic and master luthier Sergei De Jonge.
Also featuring a special guest seminar by guitar expert Jamie Gale, curator of the world-renowned Boutique Guitar Showcase, entitled The Sellable Guitar (From concept to satisfied customer).
