Rutland Winter Light Up returns this weekend

The Rutland Winter Light Up, presented by Valley First, it is taking place this Sunday, Nov. 28 from 12-4:30 p.m. at Rutland Centennial Park.

This is an entirely outdoor event and attendees can come anytime to see a large lit up Christmas tree, which will remain in the park through the holiday season,

The event includes family friendly activities and fun from Big White Ski Resort and the Loose Moose and the Uptown Rutland Business Association; live entertainment; Santa visits, shopping, and food and drinks.

Local vendors include Salt and Wedge Jewelry, TT Bakeshop, Sacred Moon Gems, Dashed n Dotted, and more!

Food trucks include Surfside California and the Salvation Army.

Kelowna Chiefs will also be on-site.

“We are really excited to be able to bring back this great community event to the Rutland area of our city,” comments Christina Ferreira, owner Impact Events and Brand Management. “We’ve made some changes to the event to create a great and safe outdoor experience for everyone attending including a large Christmas Tree will be officially lit up this Sunday.”

The safety of our community remains most important and we, along with all of our participating vendors will be following our public health orders and ask all those that will be attending to please be kind and patient when attending.
