OKANAGAN SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA RECEIVESHONORARY PATRONAGE FROM LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR OF BRITISH COLUMBIA(Kelowna, BC, June 22, 2016) – The Honourable Judith Guichon, OBC, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, has become an Honorary Patron of the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra (OSO).“The board of directors of the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra is proud to have received the Distinguished Patronage of the Honourable Judith Guichon,” comments Tracey Read, president of the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra’s board of directors. “Her Honour attended the 25th anniversary celebration of the Okanagan Symphony Youth Orchestra in 2014 and her support inspired us to apply for this distinction. This is the first time that the OSO has been granted this honour which supports our contributions to the cultural fabric of our community.”The Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia grants patronage in order to support and encourage worthy endeavours.
