The 2020 BOYD Autobody & Glass Father’s Day Charity Car Show is unfortunately, for the first time in 20 years, not going to proceed on Father’s Day this year, due to the global health crisis and current requirements for physical distancing.

“We are heart broken.”, says Boyd Autobody & Glass President, Methal Abougoush.  “The goal has always been quite simple. Provide a family-friendly event, surrounded by the driving force of automobiles while raising funds and awareness for a local, family focused charity organization.  And this year, not being able to fulfill that goal or the resulting donation to the Child Advocacy Centre is devastating.”

Through the support of our sponsors, volunteers and associates, the last two years’ events have resulted in Boyd contributing over $75,000 to the Child Advocacy Centre (CAC). This year’s event hoped to raise close to $50,000 for the charity.

“We are, as I am sure the whole community is, grateful to Boyd for putting the safety of our community first and electing to cancel this year’s show.”, says CAC Executive Director, Ginny Becker. “These have been difficult days for everyone and this is of course disappointing but we support Boyd’s decision wholeheartedly.”

“Boyd is doing what it can to still provide support for the Child Advocacy Centre and we hope our sponsors and stakeholders will join us.” Added Abougoush.

All car registrations will be fully refunded, as well as vendor and sponsor fees.  For more information on the event and any updates, please visit www.BringItToBoyd.com and click on “Father’s Day Car Show” or find us on Facebook.
