Barn Dance raise $12 thousand for man’s need for live kidney donor

The Pat Duke Arena held its first Barn Dance after a four year hiatus on April 30. The event raised more than $12 thousand dollars to support a local Lumby man’s need for a live kidney donor.

Cole Derry has a B positive blood type which is a challenge without someone volunteering to be a living donor.
Anyone with B positive blood type is asked to consider becoming a live organ donor for Cole Derry. Sign up to become an organ donor at taketwominutes.ca.
Barn Dance Organizer Angie Clowry says the event was a huge success due to the volunteers, donations from businesses and all who attended.
