Taste of Downtown Kelowna

The Downtown Kelowna Association presents the 7th Annual Taste of Downtown Kelowna on Saturday September 23, 2017 from 12:00pm – 3:00pm.

There are 32 restaurants across Downtown Kelowna that will open their doors and welcome Taste of Downtown Passport holders, treating them to a complimentary sample of food or drink while supplies last.

The only way to enjoy this event is with a coveted Taste of Downtown Passport. They were available last week by a minimum donation of $5.00 cash with all money raised being donated to the Central Okanagan Food Bank. The Downtown Kelowna Association is pleased to announce that $5,522.40 was raised and the Passports are sold out.

“We are so excited to make this donation to the Food Bank,” says Ryan Watters, Communications Manager at the Downtown Kelowna Association. “Last year with a $2.00 donation we raised over $3,000 which helped a number of people in our own backyard. We are excited to see what $5,000 does! We believe bumping up the donation for the Food Bank was the right thing to do, especially getting into the cooler months ahead. Visitors still receive a complimentary sample of food or drink, but this year the Food Bank will benefit even more.”

The event is designed to allow visitors to experience a number of different foods and drinks from Chinese to Caribbean cuisine along with various coffees and teas throughout Downtown Kelowna.
