TORONTO, ON – Tuesday, January 31, 2017.
The Polaris Music Prize, presented by CBC Music and produced by Blue Ant Media, has revealed its key dates for 2017.
The 40 album Long List will be announced June 13 at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa, Ont. The 10 album Short List will be unveiled on July 13. This year’s Polaris Gala is September 18 at The Carlu in Toronto, Ont.
The Polaris Music Prize awards $50,000 to the artist who creates the Canadian Album of the Year, judged solely on artistic merit, without consideration for genre or record sales.
